SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for determining the position of a stop line. The device for determining the position of the stop line includes a traffic light recognition unit configured to recognize a traffic light at an intersection in front of a vehicle, and a stop line position determination unit configured to determine the position of a stop line at a first distance from the traffic light towards the vehicle. If the traffic light recognition unit detects a group of traffic lights, and the stop line position detection unit detects the nearest front traffic light and a rear traffic light, based on the relative position of the traffic light group, determining the position of the stop line at a second distance from the nearest front traffic light towards the vehicle, the second the distance is less than the first distance, the nearest front traffic light is the traffic light on the vehicle side closest to the vehicle.
