FIELD: technological process.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a dual adsorption column with activated carbon for purification of exhaust gases, which contains: two columns (1), including a left column (1) and a right column (1), located on the left and right symmetrically or asymmetrically, while the left column (1) and the right column (1) respectively contain a lower part with an activated carbon layer (A), an upper part with an activated carbon layer (B) and a middle transition region (C) located between these two parts. The adsorption column with activated carbon also consists of the first gas chamber (G1) located between the corresponding lower part with the activated carbon layer (A) of the left column (1) and the right column (1). Also, the adsorption column with activated carbon contains the second gas chamber (G2) located outside the lower part with a layer of activated carbon (A) and the middle transition region (C) of the left column (1), and the second gas chamber (G2) located outside the lower part with a layer of activated carbon (A) and the middle transition region (C) of the right column (1), i.e. on the far right side of the lower middle part of the double column. The adsorption column also contains the third gas chamber (G3) located between the upper part with the activated carbon layer (B) and the middle transition region (C) of the left column (1) and the upper part with the activated carbon layer (B) and the middle transition region (C) the right column (1); and the fourth gas chamber (G4) located outside the upper part with an activated carbon layer (B) of the left column (1) and a fourth gas chamber (G4) located outside the upper part with an activated carbon layer of the right column (1). The exhaust gas inlet (2) communicating with the first gas chamber (G1) is located at the bottom of the front surface of the twin activated carbon adsorption column, and two fourth gas chambers (G4) are located on both sides of the upper part of the activated carbon adsorption column and are connected with the exhaust gas outlet (3) after converging through an exhaust gas duct located at the top of the front surface or the rear surface of the activated carbon adsorption column. In each of the columns (1), in the left column (1) and in the right column (1), the three lower material chambers (a1, a2, a3) communicate with the corresponding three upper material chambers (b1, b2, b3) through the corresponding three rows of groups of discharge channels (c1 c2, c3); there are gaps between the groups of discharge channels of each row, and the gap or distance around each discharge channel acts as a gas channel, i.e. a duct for the removal of exhaust gas. The invention also relates to a method for purifying exhaust gases using the aforementioned activated carbon adsorption column. The invention also relates to a desulfurization and denitrification system.

EFFECT: improved degree of purification of waste gases and efficiency of desulfurization and denitrification.
