RADIATION CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IRRADIATING A SECTION OF A SPACE WITH RADIATION IN A GIVEN SPECTRAL RANGE WITH A GIVEN THRESHOLD INTENSITY Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61L2/10 A61L9/20 H05B47/105 H05B47/115

Abstract RU 2746859 C2

FIELD: disinfection; sterilization.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of disinfection and sterilization and can be used for effective sterilization of working areas, equipment and devices used in laboratories, such as medical and biological ones, as well as disinfection of public or private institutions. The radiation control system comprises: a group of optical radiation sources (104), each of which is configured to irradiate the corresponding area (108) of space (100) by emitting radiation in a given spectral range from the ultraviolet range; an image sensor (106) capable of receiving one or more images, and a control device (107). And the control device is configured to use the image received by the image sensor for the purpose of detecting, in space (100), the spatial distribution of radiation in a given spectral range, using the image received by the image sensor, in order to determine the coordinates of the location of a person (114) or an animal in space (100), and control a group of sources (104) of said radiation, based on the coordinate (112) of the location of a person (114) or an animal and on the spatial distribution of radiation (110), in such a way that a section (108a) of space (100), in which a person (114) or an animal is not present, is irradiated (116) with radiation (118) in a given spectral interval having a given threshold intensity. The group of inventions also relates to a method for irradiating a portion of space with optical radiation in a given spectral interval.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides effective irradiation of a section of space with radiation in a given spectral interval while preventing exposure to this radiation of a person or an animal, which makes it possible to increase the availability of space, since people or animals can be in it without being irradiated by the specified radiation. A more efficient use of a group of radiation sources is also achieved, since radiation is emitted only by sources attached to an area where no human or animal is present. As a result, the service life of the radiation sources can be increased.
