SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and device for automated lane change control. The automated lane change control method includes the steps of detecting a vehicle in front, determining whether or not a predetermined condition is satisfied based on the relationship between the vehicle in use and the vehicle in front, and performing automatic lane change by the vehicle in use through automated control after the first preset time. In this case, the control method evaluates whether or not the previous lane change corresponds to the driver's intention, sets a second predetermined time, which is longer than the first predetermined time, as the time during which a lane change is prohibited to be carried out by automated control, and prohibits a change by the automated control in the interval that starts when the prohibiting condition that prohibits changing the lane is satisfied and ends when the second predetermined time elapses. The automated lane change control device contains a control unit, a detection unit, and an evaluation unit.
EFFECT: improved safety is achieved.
