FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: method for tensioning a conveying element of the conveyor includes generating an output signal from a proximity sensor indicating that the conveying element is under-tensioned, receiving an output signal from a proximity sensor, and switching a solenoid valve open in response to receiving an output signal from the proximity sensor. The method also includes pumping a piston of the cylinder while the solenoid valve is in the open state, pushing the cylinder of the receiving bar having the second ratchet portion in engagement with the first ratchet portion of the blocking plate, and applying the blocking force to the receiving bar by the blocking plate. The method additionally includes overcoming the blocking force and moving the conveyor shaft away from the center line of the conveyor by the receiving bar while overcoming the blocking force.

EFFECT: invention ensures tensioning a conveying element of the conveyor.
