FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: method involves generating by a proximity sensor an output signal indicating that the transporting element has insufficient tension, receiving an output signal from the proximity sensor and switching the electromagnetic control valve to an open state in response to reception of the output signal from the proximity sensor. Method also includes actuating the cylinder piston by the pump, while the electromagnetically controlled valve is in the open state, cylinder pushing the receiving bar, comprising second part of ratchet mechanism in engagement with first part of ratchet mechanism of locking plate, and applying blocking plate blocking force to receiving bar. Method further includes overcoming the blocking force and movement of the conveyor shaft away from the centre line of the conveyor by the receiving bar when overcoming the blocking force.

EFFECT: required conveyor tension is provided.
