SUBSTANCE: method of obtaining the cable (20, 120, 220, 320, 420) includes coupling the conductor (122) with the first strength member (14). Forming a conductor (122) in such a way that it is capable of being subjected to constant elongation, with the possibility of transmitting electrical energy and/or a data signal. Formation of a second strength member, which is a layer (52) of a shell of a polymer material around at least part of the combination of a conductor (122) conjugated to the first strength member (14). Ensured is at least part of the conductor (122) remains elongated when surrounded by a layer (52) of the strength member shell. Stretching the layer (52) of the strength member shell so as to permanently extend both the layer (52) of the strength member shell, and at least part of the conductor (122), and at least part of the first strength member (14), without breaking at least part of the conductor (122). Conductor (122) is formed by braiding around the first strength member (14) with the choice of the braid angle, which is more obtuse in comparison with the braid angle chosen for the initial formation of the layer (52) of the shell of the strength member.
