FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, specifically, to synthesis of enzymes of fatty acid photodecarboxylases (FAP). Proposed is a method for synthesis of FAP with controlled binding of a protein with a specific cofactor using riboflavin-auxotrophic strains of E. coli. The process is executed by constructing a plasmid for recombinant expression of FAP, transforming the expression riboflavin-auxotrophic strain, culturing the transformed strains followed by purifying the FAP protein.
EFFECT: invention ensures production of FAP in quantities required for biophysical and structural research.
