The irradiation unit consists of a radiation source configured to generate a radiation beam, the first sweep circuit configured to receive the radiation beam and scan the radiation beam over the first irradiation area of ​​the upper layer of the initial material, the second sweep circuit configured to receive the radiation beam and scan the radiation beam along the second irradiation area of ​​the upper layer of the initial material, and a switching unit configured to direct the radiation beam generated by the radiation source to the first sweep circuit or the second sweep circuit. The control unit of the switching unit is configured to switch from the first state, in which the radiation beam is directed to the first sweep circuit, to the second switching state, in which the radiation beam is directed to the second sweep circuit, but not to the first sweep circuit.
