FIELD: exhaust gas processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an exhaust system for processing exhaust gases of an engine with compression ignition, where the exhaust system contains an oxidation catalyst including a carrier that is a flowing monolithic carrier or a filter monolithic carrier and that has an input end surface and an output end surface; catalytic material located on the carrier, wherein catalytic material contains platinum (Pt); and a capture area containing capturing material, where capturing material contains Pt-alloying metal located on refractory oxide or applied to refractory oxide, where Pt-alloying metal in the oxidation catalyst is palladium (Pd), wherein capturing material is located on a plurality of channel walls or applied to the plurality of channel walls inside the carrier, and refractory oxide includes at least 65% by wt. of zirconium oxide, wherein this capture area has an average length of ≤20 mm, and it is located on the output end surface of the carrier and is positioned so that it comes into contact with exhaust gases after exhaust gases have come into contact with catalytic material and/or passed through catalytic material containing Pt; and a toxicity reduction device located downstream relatively to the specified oxidation catalyst, which is a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst or a filter catalyst for selective catalytic reduction.

EFFECT: technical result is a reduction in the toxicity of exhaust gases.
