SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine. A method for evaluating the pro-inflammatory activity of monocytes involves the isolation of monocytes as part of mononuclear cells from peripheral venous blood by centrifugation in a density gradient of ficoll-urografin, followed by layering in Petri dishes, separation of stuck cells and their diluting, analysis of the obtained monocyte suspension. In this case, samples are prepared by diluting and mixing the resulting suspension of monocytes in an isotonic solution. The number of monocytes with a diameter of 9 to 15 mcm and the number of monocytes with a diameter of 12.5 to 15 mcm are counted in them by means of a cell counter. Then the index of pro-inflammatory activity of monocytes is calculated as its criterion as a percentage of the number of monocytes with a diameter of 12.5 to 15 mcm to the number of monocytes with a diameter of 9 to 15 mcm. As its final value, the average value of the index of pro-inflammatory activity of monocytes obtained as a result of at least twice counting the number of monocytes in each sample is used.

EFFECT: simplifies the method and reduces its complexity while maintaining the reliability of the results of evaluating the pro-inflammatory activity of monocytes.
