FIELD: railway industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical traction systems for vehicles. The vehicle, in particular a rail vehicle, comprises a DC voltage intermediate circuit and at least one secondary circuit connected to the DC voltage intermediate circuit having a voltage level lower than the DC voltage intermediate circuit. In this case, two battery packs connected in series are connected to the DC voltage intermediate circuit. The middle terminal, which is electrically located between the battery blocks, is directly or indirectly at ground potential through impedance. The secondary circuit is connected to the middle terminal and is loaded with the voltage of one of the two battery blocks.
EFFECT: vehicle optimization.
