FIELD: dentistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, in particular, dentistry. An expert system is used, providing a possibility of collecting and analysing the input data of the patient (morphometric, odontological, morphological, histological parameters of the enamel), probabilistic calculation of the value of depth of the enamel based on the information database of the histostructure and nanostructure of the mineral component and the organic matrix of the normal human dental enamel. The method provides a possibility to predict and measure the depth of ground hard tissues with a high level of accuracy when conducting morphological studies on removed teeth and prepared hard tissues for dental manipulations in the mouth, based on the programmed parameters of probabilistic outcomes. In the process of preparation of the tooth, a continuous controlled measurement of the enamel depth by means of the laser signal reflected from the surface of the prepared tissues is performed.

EFFECT: developed method provides a possibility to measure the depth of ground hard tissues with maximum efficiency and accuracy when conducting morphological studies on removed teeth and prepared hard tissues for dental manipulations in the mouth.
