SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of multilayer insulation for an electric machine, in particular, a rotating electric machine of the high-voltage or medium-voltage range, such as, e.g., a generator, a transformer, subject to higher rated voltages at operating voltages, those being, e.g., 1 kV or more. The insulation includes two or several layers produced by means of dispersed varnish compositions. One mechanically carrying varnish layer forms adjacent insulation layers with a varnish layer resistant to partial discharge. The invention also relates to an electric machine including such insulation and to a method for producing multi-layered insulation.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the power of a rotating electric machine.
