FIELD: antennas.
SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to the field of antenna equipment, particularly, to antenna arrays intended for installation on aircrafts. Proposed is a broadband stacked multihelix antenna array comprising two or more spiral antennas with a dielectric layer with generally uniform thickness located between said antennas, wherein the antennas are also center-fed and in-phase. The antenna array is embeddable in a non-conductive material such as resin embedded fiberglass, a honeycomb sandwich structure, or structural foam, potentially usable in forming a structural element of a mobile platform. The structural element can comprise a via providing passage for coaxial cables.
EFFECT: improved aerodynamic characteristics of the antenna.
