FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the use of a compound of the formula (I) or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt or a complex ester prodrug, when preparing a drug for the treatment of tuberculosis, a mycobacterial infection or a disease caused by a mycobacterial infection in a patient. The invention also relates to the use of a combination of (a) a compound of the formula (I) or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt or a complex ester prodrug, and (b) an additional anti-tuberculosis drug, when producing a drug for injection in the treatment of tuberculosis, a mycobacterial infection or a disease caused by a mycobacterial infection.
EFFECT: new field of application of a compound of the formula (I) is discovered; the compound can be used in medicine for the treatment of tuberculosis.
