FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to laboratory diagnostics. The method for assessing pronounced fibroplastic changes in the tubulointerstitium of the renal parenchyma in patients with kidney damage associated with monoclonal gammopathy consists in determining the amount of sodium released during the day, the amount of creatinine released during the day, the amount of creatinine in the blood serum, the amount of sodium in the blood serum. The value of the excreted fraction of sodium (EFNa) is calculated. If the value of EFNa is greater than 1.5%, the fibroplastic changes in the renal tubules and interstitium are assessed as pronounced.
EFFECT: invention exhibits simplicity, accessibility, and constitutes a non-invasive means for assessing pronounced fibroplastic changes in the tubulointerstitium of the renal parenchyma in patients with kidney damage associated with monoclonal gammopathy.
