SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method and installation for corrugating sheets. A method for corrugating a sheet having thickness, moisture content, composition and width before corrugating, includes: obtaining one property before corrugating the sheet from the following: sheet thickness; sheet moisture; sheet composition; sheet width; corrugating a sheet to form several corrugations on a sheet. Corrugating includes: providing a pair of corrugating rollers, between which a gap is formed, which has the size of the gap; inserting the sheet into the gap; assessment of the properties after corrugating the sheet, performed after corrugation; and changing the gap size based on one of the obtained properties from the property before corrugating the sheet and based on the estimated property after corrugating the sheet.
EFFECT: sufficient corrugation of the sheet for its proper further processing and the correct level of corrugation, which is a balance between the properties of the sheet, ensuring its ability to fold, and the absence or minimization of damage.
