SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems for calculating the parameters of the geometric position of the wheels of vehicles according to the data of three-dimensional scanning of the surfaces of the wheels and the frame. Three-dimensional scanning of the surfaces of the wheels and the frame is carried out by a non-contact method, using three-dimensional scanning units and light elements displayed on the vehicle, in which a number of light elements are projected onto its wheels and frame, the illuminated wheels and the frame are removed and the resulting images are transmitted to a computing device. which calculates the required parameters. Alternative systems for scanning the frame of vehicles differ in the type of 3D scanning units used, which determine the spatial position of the graded or holographic marks installed on the vehicle frame.
EFFECT: fast and accurate, non-contact measurement of key parameters of wheels and axles of multi-axle vehicles relative to the center line of their frame, as well as diagnostics of the presence of mechanical deformations of the frame and metrological support of the process of their elimination.
