FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to orthopedics, traumatology, rheumatology and functional diagnostics, and can be used in diagnostics and treatment of a knee joint pathology. For this purpose, ultrasonography is performed perpendicular to the patellar axis over the quadriceps femoris tendon, the non-pulse optical density is determined in the area of the largest size of the anechoic space between the inner surface of the wall of the articular sac and the femur. If said density is within the range from 2.2 mm to 2.42 mm and vascular dopplerographic signals are absent in the area of the hyaline cartilage, osteoarthrosis of the knee joint is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method provides accurate diagnostics of osteoarthrosis of the knee joint by examining certain parameters during ultrasonography, eliminates the harmful impact of X-ray emission and increases the availability of examination.
