FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to immunohistochemical research methods. To evaluate the expression of CDX-2 protein in tissues, the expression index is calculated by summing the expression pattern and the product of the length of the label by the intensity of the label. The expression pattern is evaluated by the location of positively colored cells. The length of the label is estimated, reflecting the percentage of CDX-2-positive cells in the studied volume of the material. The intensity of the label reflecting the staining of the nucleus is evaluated.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to obtain an integral indicator of CDX-2 expression, to rank the intensity of changes in tissue, to take into account cases with uneven CDX-2 expression within the studied volume of material, regardless of the orientation of the biopsy material.
