FIELD: apparatuses for making beverages.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an apparatus for preparing a beverage and to an application of a capsule as a capsule for an apparatus for preparing a beverage. The apparatus for preparing a beverage comprises a liquid source and a dispensing hole, connected by means of a pump provided with: a chamber, a movable wall limiting the chamber, such as a movable wall connected with an adjacent wall or adjacent walls of the chamber by means of a seal, e.g., a sealing ring. The pump also has an electric drive driving the movable wall to move between a first position and a second position to ensure the flow of liquid from the source into the chamber and to ensure the backflow of liquid from the chamber into the dispensing hole, and a power supply unit containing an electric power source and configured to supply power to the drive. The power supply unit additionally comprises a sensor, e.g., at least one from an ammeter, voltmeter and potentiometer, for measuring at least one electrical parameter displaying the consumption of power by the drive from said source. The power supply unit additionally comprises a control unit connected with the sensor and the electrical power source, wherein the control unit is configured to adjust the power supplied to the drive by the electric power source depending on at least one measured parameter and the required input of liquid into the chamber and/or the required output of liquid from the chamber, e.g., the required flow rate and/ or the liquid input and/or liquid output pressure.

EFFECT: simplification of the configuration of the pump, providing a possibility of reliable control of the productivity of the pump.
