SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, in particular toxicology, psychiatry, and can be used for the treatment of acute poisoning with 1,4-butanediol. The essence of the method for treatment of acute poisoning with 1,4-butanediol in patients with delirious syndrome based on pharmacological correction of hyperammonemia is that the patient is injected with arginine glutamate at a dose of 0.07 ml/kg twice a day in the morning and in the evening for 5 days.
EFFECT: use of the method ensures the prevention of life-threatening complications due to the prolonged stay of the patient in a state of delirious syndrome: reducing the time spent by patients in the intensive care unit; reducing the use of sedatives traditionally used in the treatment regimens of intoxication psychosis.
