FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to hepatology and transplantology. The levels of bilirubin, creatinine and Na in the blood serum are determined, the MHO indicator. The MELD-Na index value is calculated and the grade of hepatic encephalopathy (HE) is determined using West-Haven criteria. Then the death risk index is calculated in points, according to the original mathematical formula for a patient with liver cirrhosis during the first 12 months of his stay on the waiting list for liver transplantation.
EFFECT: method allows to increase the predictive accuracy of mortality for patients during their stay on the waiting list for liver transplantation during the first 12 months.
