FIELD: ceramic industry; aviation industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ceramic and aviation industries; it can be used in the mechanical processing of large-sized complex ceramic products. A method includes the processing of the inner surface. After mechanical processing of the inner surface of a product, its visual and optical control is first carried out for the presence of structural defects in the transmitted light. The type and location of structural defects in reflected light are determined, and the inner surface of the product is modified to eliminate defects. Then, the mechanical processing of the outer surface is carried out.
EFFECT: reduction in the complexity of the mechanical processing of products, reduction in the number of non-conforming products.
