FIELD: performing operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the ceramic and aviation industries and can be used mainly in machining the inner surface of ceramic articles. Proposed method comprises mounting drum on machine, fixing article in drum and processing inner surface of article with diamond tool to preset size. In the process of mechanical processing of the inner surface, the article is visually inspected for presence of defects by means of light elements on the inner surface of the drum, which create a light flux providing optical transparency of the article. Before visual inspection, the product is dried from excess water for 1 to 5 minutes at a drum rotation frequency of 200-400 rpm.
EFFECT: reduced labour input at maintaining high accuracy of making geometrical dimensions of the inner surface of the article with detected defects.
