FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to actuators based on electroactive polymers. An actuator based on electroactive polymer with field excitation is equipped with a current sensor for reading current flowing to the actuator. A control circuit is used to excite the actuator that includes a voltage source. The actuator excitation is controlled depending on read current to provide by means of that the set supply of a charge for specific changes of the actuator activation level. This provides a combined excitation circuit based on voltage and current for the actuator based on voltage-excited EAP, and this allows for providing more reliable repeat of mechanical movements of the actuator.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of compensation of deviation displacement in real time.
