FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to actuating devices based on electroactive polymers. The group of inventions is a drive based on electroactive polymer excited by a field and a method for its excitation by actuation voltage. The drive is made with the possibility of bringing the actuation voltage from the first voltage level to the second voltage level less than the first level using a transition function that takes place during the transition time. The transition function includes a smoothing function. The transition time is at least 0.5 ms.
EFFECT: reduction and/or elimination of oscillations generated by emergency action program (EAP) during the deactivation phase.
