SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, namely to a device for changing a shape or a position of executive units, a catheter with a controlled tip and a method for changing a shape or a position of executive units of the device. The device contains executive units based on electroactive material, two power buses, a data transmission line. Executive units are arranged in the form of a linear set, while there are connections of the data transmission line between each pair of adjacent executive units. Each executive unit contains two power bus contacts and a contact of the digital data transmission line. Each executive unit is connected in parallel between the mentioned at least two power buses. Two power buses are connected to two power bus contacts. Each executive unit contains an executive device based on electroactive material, a digital controller, and an excitation device. The digital controller is connected to the contact of the data transmission line to receive data from the data transmission line. The excitation device is designed to excite the executive device depending on received data. The catheter contains a device for changing a shape or a position of executive units, while executive units based on electroactive material are designed to control the catheter. In the implementation of the method, a power supply signal is provided between two power buses. Excitation data is provided for all executive units on the data transmission line in the form of a single combined data signal. In each individual executive unit, a relevant section of the combined data signal is identified. Each executive device of the executive unit is excited depending on the relevant section.

EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of effective control of the shape or the position of executive units, simplification of wiring, when it is necessary to address executive units and control them in application environments, such as catheters.
