FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method for selecting potato varieties with large starch granules in a tuber cell includes planting, care, selection of samples, and analysis thereof. A distinctive feature of the method is the fact that mid-ripening potato varieties with a ripening period of 81 to 90 days are used for selection.
EFFECT: proposed invention allows for acceleration and facilitation of the method for selecting potato varieties with large starch granules in the tuber cell in creation of new varieties and reduction in the labour intensity and costs thereof.
