FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology. The proposed method for selecting potato samples with a high content of the total amount of anthocyanins includes the selection of parental forms, obtaining new genotypes, sampling and analysis. A distinctive feature of the method is that in the phase of plant germination (on the 20-25th day after planting), samples with pigmented leaves are isolated, and during the period of active tuber accumulation (on the 50-60th day after planting), genotypes with tubers with pink and purple pigments, in which the total amount of anthocyanins is in the range of 80-400 mg/kg.
EFFECT: invention will speed up and simplify the method for sampling potatoes with a high content of the total amount of anthocyanins in leaves and tubers.
