FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agriculture, plant selection and can be used for selection of potato genotypes with high values of ascorbic acid – vitamin C, antioxidant activity (AOA) and suitability for vacuum treatment. Method includes planting tubers in prepared soil, cleaning, vacuum treatment and analysis of potato tubers. Samples with planting norm of 38 thousand seed tubers per hectare with a planting pattern of 90×30 are planted in the prepared soil on the selection breeding plot. Annually 300-370 varieties of 5-50 tubers are planted per plot. During the vegetation period, agrotechnical techniques are carried out – interrow cultivation, destruction of weeds and pests, treatment against fungal diseases. In the phase of complete maturation, the tubers are biochemically analysed for content of ascorbic acid and samples with the presence of ascorbic acid in range of 15.1 mg/100 g and more and high antioxidant activity of 51.0-80.0 units are recovered.

EFFECT: method simplifies selection of potato genotypes with high content of ascorbic acid in range of 15_1 mg/100 g and more and antioxidant activity of 51-80 units suitable for vacuumizing.
