SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology. Method for producing new buckwheat genotypes in vitro includes cultivating microtransplants with axillary buds on Murasig and Skoog medium containing ammonium nitrate, potassium nitrate, potassium phosphate oxide one substituted, magnesium sulphate seven water, calcium chloride two water, iron sulphate seven water, boric acid, four-water manganese sulphate, six-water cobalt chloride, five-water copper sulphate, two-water sodium molybdenum acid, potassium iodide, thiamine chloride, pyridoxine chloride, casein hydrolyzate, sucrose, agar and water, preparing test-tube plants, cutting and subculturing them on Murasig and Skoog medium. The distinctive feature of the method is that the cuttings are cultured on Muracig's and Skoog's medium with addition of zinc sulphate semi-water in an amount of 1010-1313 mg/liter medium for 30-33 days, the genetic variability of obtained lines of plant regenerants is analyzed by means of PCR and biometric analysis of plant regenerants planted in lysimeters, lines with the highest level of genetic variation and with improved rates of economic usefulness characters are selected.

EFFECT: invention provides for expanding the genetic diversity of the initial material for buckwheat breeding by using high concentrations of zinc ions, accelerating the process of selecting new genotypes in in vitro culture.
