FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, in particular to environmentally safe methods of controlling fungal diseases of potatoes. Method of controlling potato late blight involves treating plants with a biologically active preparation, which is represented by a dealcoholised aqueous extract in concentration of 6–8%, obtained from a vegetative mass of buckwheat, collected in the flowering phase. At that, pre-sowing treatment of potato tubers is carried out by spraying with a solution, and then vegetating plants are treated three times: the first one – during the sprouting phase, the second one – during the budding phase, and the third one – during the mass flowering phase.
EFFECT: proposed method of potato late blight control extends the range of potato late blight control agents produced from cheap and readily available vegetal raw materials and is environmentally safe.
