FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to ophthalmology; it is intended for the reduction, inhibition or prevention of deposition of a polyquaternium compound and anionic polymer in an ophthalmological composition. A method for reducing, inhibiting or preventing the deposition of the polyquaternium compound and anionic polymer in the ophthalmological composition for the treatment of eye disease in the form suitable for drip administration includes stages of: i) providing from 0.001% to 0.5% of anionic polymer having weight average molecular weight from about 250 to about 4,000,000 Dalton; ii) adding the effective amount of organic acid, its salts or their mixtures, so that organic acid binds with a monomeric link of the polyquaternium compound in a molar ratio of at least 1:1; and iii) adding from 10 ppm to 1000 ppm of the polyquaternium compound having weight average molecular weight from about 150 to about 15,000 Dalton. The specified composition contains less than 5% of cationic oligomeric compounds and compounds inhibiting the deposition.
EFFECT: use of the invention allows for reducing, inhibiting or preventing the deposition of the polyquaternium compound and anionic polymer in the ophthalmological composition.
