FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics. The proposed external fixation system made of a biocompatible composite polymer material for transosseous osteosynthesis is characterized by the fact that the structural elements are made of a biocompatible composite polymer material based on a polyester compound, including polyethylene terephthalate with a polycarbonate content of 12 to 24 wt.% of the polyester compound and carbon fiber as a fibrous filler in an amount of 9.2-40.8 wt.% of the total weight of the composite polymer material. The external fixation system is characterized by a compressive strength of 185-204 MPa, a tensile stress of 165-174 MPa, an impact strength according to Charlie on samples without a notch up to 47-68 kJ/m2, a modulus of elasticity in bending up to 5.45-6.13 GPa while maintaining the radiolucency of the external fixation elements used in transosseous osteosynthesis and ensuring the necessary biological inertness during use.
EFFECT: invention can be used in the treatment of patients in the conditions of traumatological and orthopedic, surgical hospitals, as well as in the conditions of military field surgery and disaster medicine.
