FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used to identify the vasculature of small choroidal melanomas, taking into account its biometric characteristics. The tumor is scanned by optical coherence tomography-angiography in the En-Face mode. In case of tumor prominence of 2-3 mm, scanning is performed at a depth of 227.61±27.61 μm. In case of tumor prominence of 0.6-1.9 mcm, scanning is performed at the level of 179.93±19.07 mcm.
EFFECT: method simplifies and accelerates the search for the vasculature of small choroidal melanomas by determining the scanning depth.
