FIELD: performing operations.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical processing of materials and can be used to determine the relationship between thermoelectromotive force and temperature occurring during drilling, that is, for calibrating the drill-part natural thermocouple. Method of calibrating a natural thermocouple drill-workpiece includes fixing a drill in a three-jaw chuck by means of a split metal bushing, a split ebonite bushing and an ebonite gasket, which are located in metal cup and fixed by pressure screws, as well as isolated from the machine by means of dielectric bushings and a dielectric workpiece gasket, with subsequent heating of the contact zone of the drill and the workpiece, during which thermo-EMF is measured using a millivoltmeter electrically connected to a drill and a workpiece by means of electric wires placed in a container with ice. Drill has a cylinder at the end and a recess on the end surface to accommodate the junction of the control thermocouple. Drill is also in contact with the workpiece, heating of which is carried out by means of a heat-resistant bushing and clamping screws in the hole of the air heater flange, which is connected through a power cable to the air heater control unit. Control thermocouple formed by electric wires chromel-copel is electrically connected to a multimeter.

EFFECT: improving calibration accuracy of natural thermocouple for drilling process.
