FIELD: material treatment.

SUBSTANCE: used to measure the temperature and power parameters of the cutting process during turning. The method includes fixing an electrically insulated workpiece on a lathe and processing it with an electrically insulated metal-cutting plate installed in a holder, while measuring thermal EMF using measuring means electrically connected to the workpiece and holder. An amplifier, an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and an appropriate personal computer (PC) are used as measuring instruments, while the electric wire connected to the holder is connected to the input of the amplifier, and the free end of this wire is connected to the corresponding end of the electric wire, connected to the current collector associated with the workpiece with the formation of a solder, which is placed in a container with ice. In addition, the holder is installed in a three-component dynamometer M30-3-6k, placed on the machine support and connected by electrical wires to the corresponding serially connected ADC, USB adapter and PC, through which the cutting forces are measured.

EFFECT: increasing the accuracy of measuring turning parameters.
