SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to veterinary medicine, and can be used in conducting combined inhalation anesthesia in rats. For this purpose, zoletil is administered intravenously at a dosage of 20 mg/kg. Inhalation anesthesia is then performed along a semi-open contour using the following inhalation parameters: a concentration of 3.5 vol.% and flow rate of 3.5±0.5 l/min is used for anesthesia with isoflurane. For inhalation anesthesia with sevoflurane, a concentration of 4.5 vol.% and flow rate of 4.5±0.5 l/min is used. The concentration of oxygen in the mixture therein is 92%.

EFFECT: method ensures adequate anesthesia causing a reduction in the intra- and postoperative complications due to a certain combination of inhalation and non-inhalation anesthetics, as well as a faster and easier emergence from anesthesia, so that animals endure the surgical intervention better.
