FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology, namely to laser vision correction. Lenticule is extracted by the ReLEX SMILE technique from the pedunculated corneal flap formed during the LASIK operation. Before removing the lenticule, a continuous blanket suture is applied along the edge of the pedunculated corneal flap until it contacts the stromal bed. Thereafter, a lenticule with a thickness of at least 30 mcm and a diameter of the optical zone is 0.3 mm less than the diameter of the pedunculated corneal flap, is removed through 2 mm incision in the corneal flap pedicle, and the blanket suture is removed.
EFFECT: method provides prevention of deformation, rupture and dislocation of corneal flap, as well as safe separation of lenticule in situ, prevention of astigmatism.
