FIELD: composite materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a technology for manufacturing composite polymer filtering materials and can be used in purification of water and air, as well as technological media, from impurities. The method for producing a microporous composite material includes the stage of mixing an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene powder with silicon dioxide produced from rice waste. The mixture of powders is then placed in an ethanol medium, treated with ultrasound and air-dried. The microporous composite material is produced by sintering the resulting mixture of powders in a mould. The structure of the mould therein comprises a disk-shaped working chamber. The technological process includes the stages of heating the mould with a substrate from 20 to 220°C at an average rate of 5°C /min, followed by preliminary compression of the powder, plasticisation and sintering of the preform for 2 to 3 hours at a temperature of 200 to 240°C and a pressure of 8 to 10 MPa.
EFFECT: invention improves technological characteristics of the filtering element, such as productivity, porosity, pressure difference over the filter, and working pressure.
