Disclosed is a method which receives an image with subsequent encoding of the image in the form of one or more slices, encodes, into a slice header for a slice of one or more slices, one or more tile identifiers indicating one or more tile positions for one or more tiles in the slice, further encoding one or more assignments of one or more tile identifier values for one or more tile identifiers indicating tile positions in the parameter set file. Another method is provided for encoding or decoding an indication of a set of tiles with possibility of prediction in an image, containing one or more dependent tiles by identifying one or more dependent tiles from one or more tiles. One or more dependent tiles depend on another dependent tile in the encoded image or form an elementary logical unit with another dependent tile.
EFFECT: high efficiency of encoding and decoding tile identifiers.
