FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine; it is intended for the control of an electrosurgical instrument, when using it. The invention provides for the use of material with a shape memorization effect (hereinafter – SME), such as nitinol, in a drive to rotate the electrosurgical instrument. The drive can be a part of a control mechanism for the rotation of a tip of the electrosurgical instrument relatively to a flexible rod that encloses instrument components in a shell, when they are delivered via an instrumental channel of a surgical device for examination. SME material in the drive can be made in such a way that, when changing a temperature, its shape is changed in such a way that it leads to the rotation of the instrument tip. By adjusting the temperature change, it is possible to precisely control the relative rotation of the instrument tip. Electric current is used in the electrosurgical instrument in accordance with the invention.
EFFECT: methods allow for providing the remote control of the instrument orientation relatively the place of treatment.
