FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: claimed invention relates to a system for tangential-flow filtration of viscous compositions containing viscous fluids, solutions, gels, pastes, creams and suspensions. System includes a TPF module, a storage tank containing an inlet composition, an inlet pipe for delivering the inlet composition from the storage tank to the TPF module, and a pipe for returning the retentate from the TPF to the storage tank. Inlet pipe for the TPF supply includes a plurality of inlet channels located at different heights in the storage tank. TPF system can additionally include a recycling system separate from the TPF module. Recirculation system includes a recirculation pipe having an inlet located in the storage container at a depth selected for extracting the contents of the storage container, and having an outlet located inside the storage container. Recycling system is configured so that the passage of material through the TPF module is prevented. Inlet of the recirculation tube and the outlet of the recirculation tube are arranged inside the storage vessel to allow passage of the contents of the storage vessel through the recirculation system to suppress the occurrence of concentration gradients in the storage vessel.

EFFECT: reduction or avoidance of pressure increase and accumulation of large molecules on pores of the filtering membrane, reduction of processing time and more efficient filtration of desirable/undesirable components.
