SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology. A method for isolating Acinetobacter baylyi bacteria from river water is proposed, which involves inoculation of the test material into a liquid selective synthetic nutrient medium containing L-phenylalanine (CAS 63-91-2), ethanol, NaCl, Na2SO4, MgSO4, KH2PO4, K2HPO4 and distilled water in the specified ratios. Incubation is carried out under aerobic conditions at 28°C for 48 hours, followed by transfer to a dense selective nutrient medium of the same composition, additionally containing agar, and incubation at 28°C under aerobic conditions for 48 hours. Then, species identification of bacterial isolates is carried out according to phenotypic traits.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the selectivity of Acinetobacter baylyi bacteria isolation from the external environment.
