FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a set of recombinant fluorescent strains of Yersinia pestis bacteria of the main subspecies biovar and the Altai biovar of the Central Asiatic subspecies for indication of the plague agent in experimental samples. Recombinant fluorescent strains of Yersinia pestis bacteria of the main subspecies are the Y. pestis KM2083 strain, containing the pTurboGFP-B plasmid, the Y. pestis KM2084 strain, containing plasmid pKatushka2S-B, and strain Y. pestis KM2048, containing plasmid pTurboGFP-B. Recombinant fluorescent strains of Yersinia pestis bacteria of the Altai biovar of the Central Asiatic subspecies are the Y. pestis KM2081 strain, containing plasmid pTurboGFP-B, strain Y. pestis KM2082, containing plasmid pKatushka2S-B. Said recombinant fluorescent strains of bacteria Yersinia pestis are deposited in the State Collection of Pathogenic Bacteria of Federal State Institution Microbe Russian Research Anti-Plague Institute of Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights and Human Welfare. Said plasmids pTurboGFP-B and pKatushka2S-B contain genes of fluorescent proteins TurboGFP and Katushka2S.

EFFECT: invention provides fast and reliable indication of the plague microbe in experimental samples when studying the mechanisms of persistence of the pathogen in the environment in experimentally modelled conditions, mechanisms of patho- and immunogenesis of plague.
