FIELD: packaging technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for the production of biodegradable containers. Biodegradable containers are obtained from a fibrous semi-finished product and modified gluten by thermal pressing at a temperature of 100-250°C. Gluten is first subjected to biomodification with enzyme preparations of the hydrolase class with a consumption of 0.01-8.0%, over-dry weight, of gluten in a combination of shear forces, with a substrate content of up to 70%, a processing temperature of 45-70°C, stirring duration of 1-20 minutes to a torque value of 25-100 Nm, at pH 6-8. After modification, polyatomic alcohol is added to the mixing chamber.
EFFECT: production of safe biodegradable containers based on cellulose and biomodified gluten is ensured, giving them fat resistance and vapor resistance, high tensile strength up to 20 MPa and tensile deformation up to 30%.
