FIELD: sugar industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the sugar industry. A method for separating the first crystallization massecuite, which involves feeding it into the centrifuge rotor, separating the massecuite, separating runoffs, washing sugar crystals, bringing them to a moisture content of 0.8-1.5% to their mass before unloading from the centrifuge rotor. The massecuite before being fed into the receiving massecuite mixer is pre-condensed in a vacuum apparatus to a content of 93.5-93.8% solids in it, then in the massecuite mixer the massecuite is pumped with the first outflow to 91.0-91.5% solids and before being fed into the centrifuge bring its temperature to 68-72°C. Separation of the massecuite in a force centrifugal field is carried out with a device for fixing the moment of separation of the intercrystalline solution from sugar crystals, which contains a housing and a sensitive element installed in it in the form of a plate, which is in contact with the flow of the separated intercrystalline solution and is connected to the centrifuge control unit.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the yield of sugar from the centrifuge while reducing the water consumption for washing its crystals.
