FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to the lining of an oxygen converter with a detachable bottom. The annular masonry of molded refractory products of the converter bottom partially overlaps the butt joint between the body and the bottom of the converter, the distance between the molded refractory products of the lower part of the converter and the bottom of the converter is filled with a refractory ramming mass, above which there are two protective rows of molded refractory products, the end surfaces of which are on the side of the walls converters have an angle of inclination of 25–60° with respect to the converter vertical. The thickness of the molded refractory products of the lower protective row is 1.1–2.2 of the thickness of the molded refractory products of the upper protective row.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to exclude the passage of metal during the smelting process, and also provides the possibility of installing blowing blocks for bottom blowing.
